Bilibili × SyncX

Back up your Bilibili favorites

Favorited videos disappear when they are taken down. SyncX keeps the title, author, cover and the video file, so you can still watch a favorite after Bilibili no longer has it.

How it works

Set it up once.

  1. 1

    Sign in to Bilibili

Use the dedicated SyncX window, or explicitly import an existing Bilibili login.

  2. 2

    Pick your favorites

Choose how often to check — every 12 hours by default. Older favorites are backfilled in batches.

  3. 3

    Search and revisit

Find a video by title, uploader or what is said in it, together with what you saved on X and Xiaohongshu.

What SyncX collects

Your own account

  • posts
  • favorites

Public accounts

  • posts
  • Signing in

Use a dedicated browser profile or explicitly import a browser login. Connecting an account and choosing what to collect are separate steps.

  • Media

Covers and videos can be saved on this Mac, or in a NAS folder you mounted in Finder. Videos past the length or size you set are left to play online. A video you saved still plays after it is taken down.

  • Current limits

Watch history and dynamic feeds are intentionally not collected. A video that was deleted before SyncX saved it can no longer be downloaded.

Questions

How do I back up my Bilibili favorites?

Connect your Bilibili account in SyncX and tick Favorites. SyncX syncs every folder on your schedule and backfills older favorites in batches.

Are Bilibili videos downloaded?

Yes, when you turn on saving videos for that account. SyncX stores the file on this Mac or on a NAS, at the quality you choose in Settings. Videos past your length or size limit stay online. A saved video still plays after the original is taken down.

Can I search what is said in Bilibili videos?

Yes. SyncX uses a video’s own subtitles when it has them, and otherwise transcribes its audio on your Mac (macOS 26 or later), deleting the audio right after. Nothing is uploaded.

Does SyncX collect my watch history?

No. It collects your favorites and posts, plus posts from public accounts you choose.

Like and save as usual. SyncX does the rest.

Free public beta. Your library never leaves your computer.
